Streamlined setup, enhanced navigation, applicant improvements!

We take great pride in how closely we pay attention to your feedback. In the latest Evalato update we included a bunch of lovely improvements across the board that many of you asked for. What’s different you ask? Where to start...

Simplified navigation

Most software reviewers agree that Evalato is pretty user-friendly, but we always strive to go the extra mile. This update brings some pretty neat changes to the program menu structure and makes the user experience more intuitive.

Program

This is where most of the settings for your program are, including the basic stuff like program name and submission periods, all Registration form settings, wording customization options, the newly added Application portal, and Payments & billing settings.  

Categories

Here you can create and manage the application categories for your program. We also added a new option that allows you to limit the total number of applications that can be registered per category.

Forms

This is the place where you create and manage your application forms - each form can be edited and customized according to your requirements, including adding fields to be filled out by applicants, assigning the forms to your various categories, and form cloning.

Emails

Ye olde automatic emails section where you can add new scheduled or condition-based emails to keep applicant communication fully streamlined.

This new structure will help you find the settings you wish to change faster and ensure a faster setup for your program.

Applicant portal settings added

Up until now Evalato allowed you to adjust and set up various elements of the public voting portal and the judging portal. Now you can also do that for some key elements on the applications portal where applicants work on their submissions.

You can choose to:

• allow people to make modifications to their applications after they've submitted them, when the application status is "submitted";
• allow people to make modifications to their applications after you've already approved them, when the application status is "approved";
• allow people to make modifications to their applications after you've rejected them, when the application status is "rejected";
• allow people to see the status of their applications after you've approved them;
• allow people to see the status of their applications after you've rejected them.

Ability to limit the number of applications per registration

Now you can limit the total number of applications per registration, as well as the number of applications that can be registered within a specific category. These settings are of course only available if your registration type allows for multiple registrations per application. Many of you asked for such options and we’re ever so happy to listen and deliver.

Simple program creation flow

With this update we also made small adjustments to the program creation process, which is now simpler and faster and won’t confuse new users with unnecessary settings. It’s all still there in the Settings section, but we streamlined the initial program setup.You’re welcome!
