The second update since the start of the year is here, friends! This one brings a number of quite useful changes and some great new features, which admittedly is pretty standard for an Evalato update. Our updates are always worth to get excited about, you see! Here’s how the changes will improve your work and appreciation of life!
We added new settings which allow you to add instructions and waivers (like a non-disclosure agreement, for example) to the judging portal, where members of the judging panel get to evaluate the submitted applications.
If you enable the waiver option, it will be shown upon logging for the first time into the judging portal and judges shall be prompted to agree or disagree - they can only proceed with the evaluation process if they've agreed to the terms / NDA. Both the instructions and the agreement are visible from the judging portal to all program judges, so they can easily be reviewed at any time.
We’ve expanded the number of fields you can add to the submission form. Now you can ask for:
You can also add a Waiver field on the submission form now and make it a required field, so applicants would need to agree to it before submitting their applications. As with the waiver field on the registration form, you can have multiple waiver fields on the submission form, so you can get various consents and agreements.
There’s also an option to limit the number of characters allowed for a single-line text field now.
We love everything that makes Evalato better for you, from the small tweak to the biggest new feature, but not everything is worth writing about. And writing about every single thing makes for a pretty boring read - I’m not here to bore you! So for the sake of keeping this short, if you want to know more about the changes, check this page. It’s always kept up-to-date and even has info on what’s coming up with our next release.
On the subject of next releases, you know us, we’re busy bees and work is already underway on the next major Evalato update. If you don’t want any spoilers on what’s next, stop reading now! *SPOILER ALERT* OK, the news many of you are probably eager to read is, we’re indeed working on a massive update that will bring our public voting feature among others.
