Evalato update: Custom domain and email, score normalization, chat widgets, and more

We’re happy to announce Evalato’s fantastic new features. Our biggest and arguably best platform update is finally here. It’s so chock-full of game-changing features and improvements, many of them requested by you, that it’s difficult to decide where to start. We’ve got custom domains for your programs, sending emails from your own address, score normalization, advanced ecommerce tracking, and additional integrations for chat functionality on your pages. So without further ado, here’s what’s new.

Custom domain

Many of you asked if it was possible to use your own domain with Evalato - well, now you can! Once you add and verify your domain, all of your program links, including the judging and applicant portal, will use it instead of the platform’s default URLs. It could look something like this: awards.yourdomain.com.

Vanity domain

Don’t worry if you don’t have your own domain to use, we’ve added another option that many of you asked for - customize the program’s URL. You’re still on the Evalato domain, but you get to put your own brand or program name at the beginning - e.g. yourbrand.evalato.com. Unlike the

Emails from your address

Want to use your own email for outgoing communication? No problem, now you can! Engage program applicants from your own “Send” address. This is useful if you’d like outbound emails to come from your team, or would like to change how your name appears in email clients. This will further strengthen your brand when using Evalato.

Score normalization

A huge feature for your evaluation phase, score normalization uses a mathematical formula to ensure that every entry is scored based on the same set of standards, regardless of how many judges are evaluating the program submissions. Essentially, it helps reduce variation in judging by standardizing each judge's scores.

Ecommerce tracking

You get to enjoy better reports and more specific insights with Google Analytics’s more advanced ecommerce tracking. The option is added as an addition to the existing Google Analytics, so you can track visitors, conversions, registrations, submissions, etc. Now you can use data-driven insights to find opportunities for improvement and grow your business.

HubSpot and Intercom integrations

Another new feature we’re quite excited to share with you are the HubSpot and Intercom integrations. Link Evalato to your HubSpot or Intercom account and you get goodies like chat functionality for your program pages and a support widget for a more efficient, personalized service, as well as visitors tracking.

New pricing plans

We’re also adding a new pricing plan for the exclusive features introduced with this update called “Premium”. The Premium plan includes the use of a custom domain, custom emails, score normalization, advanced ecommerce tracking, and additional integrations for chat functionality on your pages. We paid close attention to your feedback, so two of the old starter plans are being replaced by the “Essential” plan - existing customers can still use the legacy “Lite” and “Plus” plans, should they wish to do so. As usual, there’s more to come

As with any other update, this one includes many fixes and small improvements to the platform. But our work’s never done. We have a pretty extensive roadmap for the development of Evalato in the coming months.
